But if the scanner works the printer part never will, and vice versa. But all in all i’d also like to thank brother for the support they gave me! I can get it to work if I don’t set it up as a printer first. Even though my distro gentoo So for your sake I hope you made a typo and your device is supported. If that works then you can try setting up printer and hope they both work that way. Then, also RTFI from the Brother site, which I had already downloaded, and following directions, I had the printer piece of the puzzle solved.
